The Bioinformatics Horizons Conference aims to showcase Romania’s growing contributions to bioinformatics and genomics, fostering collaboration and inspiring the next generation of researchers. Our program will cover cutting-edge developments across diverse bioinformatics domains, from fundamental research to translational applications.
Key themes include:
- AI & Machine Learning in Bioinformatics – Leveraging computational intelligence for predictive modeling, disease diagnostics, and biomarker discovery;
- Integrative Multi-Omics Approaches – Harnessing genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics to decode complex biological systems;
- Advancing Romanian Bioinformatics & Genomics – Highlighting national initiatives, research infrastructure, and opportunities for students and early-career scientists to engage in flagship projects such as ROGEN, BIOINNOVATE, and the Romanian Bioinformatics Cluster;
- Ethics, Data Privacy & Open Science – Addressing the challenges of data security, responsible AI, and equitable access in large-scale genomic studies;
- Bioinformatics Education & Career Development – Defining the skills, training pathways, and career opportunities that will shape Romania’s bioinformatics ecosystem.
